MODEL STEAM TRAIN FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY - Modelparken Danmark is a great activity for the entire family. Ride on an authentic scale-model steam train which runs on coal and water – or how about a diesel-electric train! The locomotive is coupled to carriages where you can sit and enjoy the ride through the first phase of Denmark's largest model railway park. In 2011, the first phase of Modelparken Danmark is opening with rail tracks spanning 225 metres in length. The 10,000 sq m park will be extended on a continuing basis, and once completed the railway will be a full 1.8 kilometres long. The railway will take you over mountains, through tunnels, across bridges, over a lake, and on to the Central Station. In addition, you will pass a locomotive turntable, a central signalling post for controlling the trains, and through a model landscape where everything is approximately a quarter of the real size.
